Maundy Thursday, also called Holy Thursday or Sheer Thursday, the Thursday before Easter, observed in commemoration of the Last Supper, the Washing of the Apostle’s Feet by Jesus, Christ’s agony and prayer in Gethsemane, and the arrest of Jesus.

The service will be followed by an “Overnight Vigil in the Garden of Repose” where parishioners will hold vigil from the close of the Maundy Thursday service through the entire night until the beginning of the Good Friday service at noon.
