A special Advent series entitled “A Season of Joyful Expectancy and Preparation” will be held each Sunday during Advent at 9:00 a.m. in the River Room.

We are about to enter the season of Advent, which comes from the Latin word, coming.  At this time of year, with Mary, we’re all pregnant with expectation and hope, eagerly preparing for the coming of Christ into the world and joyfully anticipating the fullness of Christmas life.  It is important to take a break from the busyness of the holiday season to observe Advent mindfully, with reverence and intention as well as joy.  We set aside some time for stillness to reflect on our current state of life and the deepest joys, desires and hopes of our hearts, knowing that those are from God.

During the 4 Sundays of Advent, we will explore what that looks like for you with readings, meditations, and intentions.

Join us at 9:15 a.m. on December 1, December 8, December 15, and December 22 for a joyful journey with Mary through Advent.
