We are very fortunate in the many opportunities to engage with each other in our prayer life at All Saints. We meet in person and online for our regularly schedule Eucharist services. Additionally, each night except Thursday, we also meet online at 8:30 p.m. for the short services of Compline (an ancient, beautiful night prayer) on Thursday we hold Vespers service at 6:30 p.m. All of these services are important as we grow in love for God and for each other. In all services, we continually hold our fellow parishioners, as well as those we love, both living and deceased, enveloped in prayer, love and God’s healing love.
We recently held training for people to serve on the altar in various ministries and are very pleased by the response. We are urgently in need for individuals interested in becoming Lay Minister of Compline. Compline is a series of short evening prayers, lasting between 10-15 minutes, and can be found on page 127 of the Book of Common Prayer. These beautiful prayers are a great way to end our busy day.
Anyone with a computer and internet connection can learn how to lead a service. Compline is online only and led from the minister’s home. Our goal is to have a different Lay Minister lead one service each week. Rich Markiewicz heads our Compline team and will be glad to meet with you to discuss your interest and answer your questions. Please reach out to him directly at compline@allsaintsfl.org discuss if this is something you would like to do to enrich your prayer life in the church. We would love to have you join us.
