Responding to the need for ministry & an investment in the Future

This quote in a recent letter from an old friend seems to be relevant today:

“The future is upon us, and the pace of change and activity accelerating. If we are to become what God has in mind and heart for us, so that we can reach that level

of ministry we are called to; then we do not have the luxury of time.”

I’ve always seen the church metaphorically as a local train. There are many stops, some of us get on and others get off over the travel of time. Those of us who are on the train are called to keep it neat, to do what needs to be done for those who will get on at the next stops over the years.

Not only has God called upon us to share our time and talent – which we do so very well here at All Saints, but also our treasure. The treasure, the blessings we share here as a result of our shared ministry, reflecting our baptismal promises to our loving God are a true result of the love that God in Jesus Christ shares with each and every one of us.

So this is a time of assessing through prayer and some thought just how we can best be part of the ministry here.

I will do just that and my prayers are there for you as you do as well.
