  • Rev. Leslie J. Hague
    Rev. Leslie J. Hague
    Rector

    Mother Leslie comes to us from Arlington, Virginia where she has served as Rector at St. Michael’s since 2002. A 1998 graduate of General Theological Seminary, she also completed her undergraduate coursework at The College of William and Mary in 1989. Leslie has previously served at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Savannah, Georgia and at the National Council of Churches in New York. Additional involvement includes Diocese of Georgia, Commission on Ministry, Faith and Order Commission of the National Council of Churches, and most recently as Chair of the Diocese of Virginia Committee on Priesthood.

     

    Experienced in ministry with all ages, Leslie focuses on Christian formation and has been directly involved in development of Vacation Bible School and other Christian Education programs. Along with her wife Katie, Leslie enjoys getting out into the community. She started a very popular theological group meeting once a month for diner or drinks, and LOVES baseball!

  • Rev. Jon Owens

    Deacon

    Deacon Jon is a native of Moore, OK and a cradle Episcopalian. He was ordained to the Vocational Diaconate in the Diocese of California in 2012 sponsored by St. James in San Francisco. He graduated from the Episcopal School for Deacons in Berkeley, CA with a Bachelor of Diaconal Studies. Jon also has a degree in Mass Communication with a minor in music from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He completed his Masters in Nonprofit Management at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and is currently a PhD student FAU in Education. Jon previously served at St. Thomas in St. Petersburg, FL and Holy Child & St. Martin in Daly City, CA. He also served in Episcopal Service Corps.

     

    Jon currently severs on the Diocesan Council on Deacons. He is involved with the Association of Episcopal Deacons. His ministries have included working in youth ministry, 20's 30's ministry. Christian Education, Health Ministry and formation. Jon works as a civil servant outside the church and has worked with numerous nonprofits including homeless agencies, refugee resettlement, Habitat for Humanity and the YMCA. Jon enjoys movies, outdoors and travel among his hobbies.

     

    “As a deacon in in the church, my focus is on interpreting the needs of the world to the church and working toward outreach efforts and social justice.”

     

  • Rev. Carl Beasley III
    Rev. Carl Beasley III
    Associate Priest

    The Rev. Carl H. Beasley III was born in York, Pennsylvania and spent his early years on his grandparents’ farm there.

     

    He graduated from St. Albans School in Washington, DC, Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA, and Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.

     

    Following four years in the United States Air Force, Fr. Beasley served parishes in central Pennsylvania and Maryland. His later ministry was spent as a school chaplain and religion teacher at Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, PA and the West Nottingham Academy in Colora, MD.

     

    Fr. Beasley retired to Ft. Lauderdale in 2015 to be near his son, Adam, who is a sports reporter for the Miami Herald. He spends his leisure time visiting family, traveling and enjoying grandfatherly duties.

    Michael has been a member of All Saints and the parish administrator since May, 2010. He was born and raised in Louisville, KY but lived most of his professional life in Washington DC working as a contractor for the federal government. Michael holds a BS in Computer Science from Strayer College in Washington and has spent the last half of his career in the management of small to medium size companies primarily in the IT arena.  

    "All Saints is my spiritual home and the source of many joys in my life.  I am so lucky to be surrounded by such a loving, caring and giving group of people."

  • Daniel Copher, Ph.D.
    Daniel Copher, Ph.D.
    Organist/Choirmaster

    Daniel Copher has served as Organist/Choirmaster at All Saints Episcopal Church in downtown Fort Lauderdale for fourteen years. Dr. Copher founded RiverSounds, a concert series of top choral and instrumental musicians. He is in his twelfth season as Music Associate/Accompanist for the Florida Singing Sons Boychoir and is an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL. There he teaches courses in classical music appreciation, history of jazz, and history of rock and roll.

     

    Prior to his work in Florida, Daniel served as Chapel Organist at the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN).  He was the accompanist for the St. Thomas Liturgical Choir on numerous Middle Eastern and European tours including the Vatican Christmas Midnight Mass in 1988 and 1998.

     

    In addition to his accomplishments in music, he has worked professionally in architectural related fields primarily in financial, strategic, and operational management. He currently or in recent past has served on numerous arts and municipal boards.

     

    Daniel completed his undergraduate work at the University of Oklahoma in architecture and music, studying with renowned organ professor, Mildred Andrews Boggess. His graduate work includes choral music (OU), liturgical studies (St. John’s University), MA in organ performance (FAU), MBA (Nova Southeastern University) and PhD in Comparative Studies (FAU). His dissertation topic was, Authenticity of Space: and Interdisciplinary Convergence of the Tradition of Sacred Music and Twenty-First Century Sacred Architecture.

  • Lou Strennen

    Lou has been a member of All Saints for the past 14 years, serving on the Vestry, Outreach, Altar Guild, and Flower Guild. She was born in Colorado and raised in New Mexico, and joined the Episcopal Church while attending the Univ. of New Mexico. She graduated from American University with a BS in Education and General Studies, and then received a MA from NM State University in Communication Disorders. For several years, she was a clinical audiologist working with those with hearing impairment. After post graduate studies at the Univ. of Wisconsin, she moved to Florida in 1988. Since that time, she was in business with her daughter, and then worked at St. Mark’s Episcopal School as an Admin Assistant. In March 2015, she joined the communication team to work with Bob Daughtery to produce the weekly order of service bulletins and quarterly Current Newsletter and ecomm and website distribution.

 

Vestry

The Vestry serves as the authoritative body of the parish, responsible for the financial wellbeing and the property of the congregation. Members are elected by the congregation at the annual meeting. Current Vestry members and email addresses can be found on the Vestry webpage.

Executive Committee

Members of this committee include the Rector, the Wardens, senior (3rd year) members of the vestry, the Clerk of the Vestry, the Chancellor, and the Treasurer. The committee sets the monthly Vestry agenda, reviews the parish budget-to-date prior to the Vestry meeting, considers and reviews pending legal and financial matters to be brought before the Vestry, and functions as the decision making body when necessary between the vestry meetings.

Diocesan Delegate

Delegates are responsible for providing two-way communication between the Vestry and the Diocese/Deanery. Delegates are elected by the congregation at the Annual Meeting.

Our current delegates are Bill Peters and Kathy Friend.  Our alternate delegate is Lou Strennen.
