OVERNIGHT VIGIL WITH THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

Maundy Thursday (March 28) 8:00PM – Good Friday (March 29) Noon

Jesus came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, “So, could you not stay awake with me one hour? Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:40-41

The practice of keeping watch with our Lord can be traced to Christ’s appeal to His disciples in the garden of Gethsemane on the eve of the crucifixion: “Could you not stay awake with me for one hour?”

We seek to keep constant vigil with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament by having someone present for prayer and reflection each hour from 8:00PM on Maundy Thursday – Noon on Good Friday. Once all of the hours are full, you are invited to come anytime during the vigil for prayer.
