All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale invites local pet adoption and rescue organizations, veterinary offices, and animal lovers in the greater Fort Lauderdale area to join in its Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The event will take place on the grounds of the church at 333 Tarpon Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the 12th-century patron saint of animals and the environment.
This cherished tradition welcomes animals of all kinds (dogs, cats, snakes, hamsters, horses, birds, iguanas) and all God’s non-human creatures (and their humans). Clergy will be present to offer blessings to every animal in attendance.
We are collecting pet supplies to benefit the local shelter, Abandoned Pet Rescue, to help local animals in need.
Items you may donate include:
- unopened dog and cat food and treats
- new toys
- leashes and collars
- towels and blankets and
- other new or gently used pet supplies
For safety, all pets must be on a leash or in a secure carrier. For more information, please visit https://allsaintsfl.org, call (954) 467-6496, or email office@allsaintsfl.org.
