FREE CONCERT – THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 3rd @ 7:00 PM

The Vanderbilt Sixteen will perform a free concert on April 3 at 7pm in the Sanctuary at All-Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale. Choral music at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) can be traced back to 1895, when the Vanderbilt Glee Club toured and performed throughout the country.

The Vanderbilt Sixteen is the top auditioned ensemble at the Blair School of Music (est. 1986) and is made up of highly qualified non-music majors from other disciplines at Vanderbilt University. The Vanderbilt Sixteen is dedicated to expressive, authentic performance of a variety of musical styles, with an emphasis on the music of living composers.

This concert will feature the music of Palestrina (celebrating his 500th birthday this year), Bach, and living composers Jennifer Lucy Cook and Shara Nova. You’ll also hear beautiful choral arrangements of music by Billie Eilish and Delta Rae.
