Tom S.Recovering from cracked pelvis.2/12/2024Cynthia Floria - Leslie, A retired Episcopal priest, Tom Shepherd, has asked me to reach out to you. He fell in his 2nd floor apt. (no elevator) and cracked his pelvis. He is currently in St. John's Rehab Center (4790 N. State Rd 7, Lauderdale Lakes, 954-484-1515). Things in rehab have not been going very well, at least not at his comfort level. He was instrumental in bring Integrity to All Saint in 2001+ and has served in the Diocese in various capacities previously. He was also one of the 4 priests that did church services at different nursing facilities before Covid. He hasn't had communion in quite a while (stairs issue where he has lived for quite some time), I believe. Today, he asked me to reach out to you and ask if you would come and see him. You and he have met but it has been a few years for sure. Perhaps you could call him and see what it is he wants. Calling him isn't easy: you call his cell (954-654-2228), leave a message and he calls back. He doesn't seem to answer any incoming calls. I am fulfilling his request to me. You respond as you see fit. He is a kindly man and I believe was an empathetic priest wherever he served.
